Pre-School
Highpointe Children's Academy prides itself on the quality of its pre-school. We foster a solid foundation for our young students that carry over into our private school. Parents of Highpointe Children's Academy students can go through their busy days with the confidence that their children are receiving the utmost in superior care.
Infants
We at Highpointe Children's Academy pride ourselves on the excellence of our infant care. The caregivers in our infant room are seasoned professionals who draw on years of experience to provide the exceptional infant environment for which we are known.
Our lead caregiver, in our baby room, has been with Highpointe Children's Academy for eleven years. Her fellow caregivers have been with us for several years and have many years of industry experience. Your baby, aged 6 weeks through 18 months, gets an array of activities to develop their fine and gross motor skills. Babies in our room enjoy the play-mat, gyms, swings, "exersaucers", and lots of "tummy time" with their teachers.
Each baby has its own assigned full-size crib and bedding. Parents provide diapers, wipes, and formula. Every day, parents receive a "Baby Gram", which lets them know everything about their baby's busy day.
With your baby at Highpointe Children's Academy, you can return to work and have peace of mind knowing that they are in capable hands.
Toddlers
The toddler age is one of amazing growth, not only physically, but also cognitively. Our toddler rooms emphasize early learning, which includes an introduction to music, art, and language. Our toddlers, aged 18 to 24 months, are given the foundation of academics upon which the preschool and private school continue to build.
These young students focus primarily on colors and shapes at this developmental stage. Highpointe Children's Academy has specially designed tables for this age group where they can maximize their fine motor skills and still be supervised for safety. They participate in our music program and benefit from our monthly in-center shows. These children learn from different developmentally appropriate sources, experiences, and activities.
Two Year Olds
Busy two year olds are happy two year olds. Our two year olds at Highpointe Children's Academy are busy throughout their day. These little ones are engaged in all phases of learning. They explore letters, numbers, colors, shapes, and sign language. We actively start potty training in our two year old classrooms. They participate in our music program and benefit from our monthly in-center shows. These children learn from different developmentally appropriate sources, experiences, and activities.
Three Year Olds
Highpointe Children's Academy three-year-old rooms are classes in which there are many opportunities for growth. A three year old at Highpointe Children's Academy is involved in academics that are a springboard for the pre-kindergarten and kindergarten programs. They will learn numbers, colors, letters, shapes, early phonetics, and some sign language. In addition to that, they can take extra curricular Spanish, gymnastics, and dance. They go to music once a week, as well as special art classes taught by our private school art instructor.
In the three-year-old classes, we try to instill a sense of responsibility for their room, their belongings, and respect and kindness for each other. These values are important to establish in the pre-school years.
